A little Jazz anyone? Did she do the song justice or should a classic never be altered?

  1. I love it!!! The message of the song transcends the genre it is sung in, which is why it successfully crosses over in my opinion.

IN THE SPOTLITE: LUKE JAMES

LUKE JAMES    Well, well, well I must say Luke James "I Want You" in my collection of great music. This man can sang, if you don't know you better ask somebody.   Representing New Orleans, this new found success has been a long time coming for Luke.  After a trio attempt didn't pan out, he landed the opportunity to sing backup for Tyrese, which led to a record deal for the duo 'Luke and Q'. But once again, that path was cut short. Yet, that didn't discourage him. He went on to assist in writing songs for artists such as Justin Beiber, Brittany Spears, Keri Hilson, and  Brandy.  Recently, he also appeared in Beyonce's video for "Run The World (Girls)". Now, the doors have opened again for him and this time he is going at it solo, which ultimately might be just what he needed. But if you're like me, this can still leave you unsatisfied because what if we don't want to learn to communicate differently? Or wh...

"Stabbed in the Back" ~ Idiom definitions

"It's just a figure of speech!" id·i·om /ˈidēəm/ Noun: A group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words (e.g., raining cats and dogs). A form of expression natural to a language, person, or group of people: "he had a feeling for phrase and idiom". It's funny the way that we often learn things in language and communication, without realizing what it is that we actually learned. Idioms have become so common that even kids understand the meanings of many of them. Idioms assist in the flow of figurative language, but can often be lost in translation; meaning that others who didn't grow up in that culture might not be able to connect the dots. Below I have listed a few. Feel free to join in with others that you may know. "to throw a monkey wrench in the plans" "you put your foot in it" (referring to cooking) "you put your foot into ...
